Beniamino Peruzzi Castellani is a PhD Candidate in Transnational Governance at the Scuola Normale Superiore (Faculty of Political and Social Sciences) and the Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna. His research focuses on the diffusion of models and practices of cultural diversity governance in cities by comparing cases in Europe, Japan, and South Korea. In this framework, he has been carrying out long qualitative fieldwork as a visiting researcher in some European universities, the University of Tokyo, and the Seoul Migration Research and Training Center. He is currently president of “Confluenze”, an NGO working in the field of social inclusion and public policy through research projects and dissemination activities aimed at engaging local communities. In particular, since 2020 he has been coordinating the project “Florentine Religious Experiences” (EsReFi), aimed at carrying out the first extensive study of all religious communities in Florence and at establishing an observatory on local religious pluralism.
