Peer Review Process
All manuscripts submitted to PACO are subject to a rigorous double blind peer review process.
The selection process consists of two stages:
First, papers submitted to the journal are reviewed by at least two members of the Editorial Board who judge their relevance with respect to the editorial policies of the journal. The Editorial Board can judge the articles as non pertinent, non-rigorous and below minimum scientific standards. In this case manuscripts will be simply rejected without going in peer review. If manuscripts are considered pertinent to the journal authors will be sent preliminary comments and suggestions for re-drafting them before sending the papers out for review.
In the second stage of the evaluation process, manuscripts will be sent to at least two anonymous referees that will be selected according to their specific topic, theoretical approach and methodology.
Referees' reports will be sent to the authors also in case of negative assessment.
The reports will be filled using a standardized form in accordance with the standards adopted by leading international journals.
Publication Frequency
The Journal is published in three issues per year (March, July and November).
Open Access Policy
PACO provides open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the researchers, improve the global exchange of knowledge.
Archiving
PACO enabled the LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) system to ensure a secure and permanent archive for the publication. LOCKSS is open source software developed at Stanford University Library that enables libraries to preserve selected web publications by regularly polling registered publication websites for newly published content and archiving it.
