Fabiana Battisti is a Ph.D. Candidate in Communication at Sapienza University of Rome,  Department of Communication and Social Research. In 2023 she was a Visiting Scholar at Africa Media Matrix School of Journalism and Media Studies at Rhodes University (South Africa). Her work dialogues with journalistic coverage and digital activism and the framing processes involved in the construction of social representation. Main research interests include media, diversity and decolonization, journalism, digital and participatory culture, and science communication. Several papers have been presented at national, European and international conferences (e.g., ICA and IAMCR)

Marco Bruno is Associate Professor at Sapienza University of Rome, Department of Communication and Social Research, teaching Sociology of Communication and History and Models of Journalism. He is chair of the three-year graduate program in Public and Corporate Communication and member of the teaching board of the International Joint PhD in Social Representation, Culture, Communication. His approach aims to understand how the media frames knowledge and representation of reality, with research focus mainly on analysis of journalism and information, media and diversity, political and electoral communication, political phenomena and participatory practices. He is the author of four books and many contributions in national and international journals and books.
