Tina Magazzini

Tina Magazzini is a political scientist whose research focuses on inclusion/ exclusion policies from a comparative perspective, anti-discrimination, and the relationship between majorities, minorities and states. She is particularly interested in how categories of belonging are created, maintained, and institutionalized in different settings. She holds a PhD in Human Rights from the University of Deusto (within the Marie Curie INTEGRIM programme) and has conducted research on migration and minority rights for UNESCO, UNDP, the European Commission and the Council of Europe, as well as for a number of academic institutes. Recent publications include articles in International Migration; State, Religion and Society; the Journal of Intercultural Studies; Ethnic and Racial Studies, as well as edited volumes with Springer, Routledge and Palgrave.
Amandine Desille

Amandine Desille is a geographer living in Lisbon. Her research work focuses on international migration, local governance, the production of place, and visual methodologies. Desille co-edited the book Visual Methodology in Migration: New Possibilities, Theoretical Implications, and Ethical Questions (2021) awarded by IMISCOE book competition. She is a postdoctoral researcher in the Re-Place project funded by the Horizon programme of the European Commission, and coordinated by the Institute of Geography and Spatial Planning, University of Lisbon (Portugal). She is also co-director of the INTEGRIM Lab. In 2017, she obtained her PhD from the University of Poitiers (France) and Tel Aviv University (Israel).
