Alessandro Lovari, Ph.D., is Assistant Professor of Sociology of Communication at the Department of Political and Social Sciences, University of Cagliari (Italy). Lovari’s research focuses on public sector communication, public relations, and health communication. He also studies social media impact on organizations and citizens’ behaviors and communication practices. Lovari is a member of the scientific committee of the Italian Association of Public Sector Communication. He is the scientific coordinator of the research project “The Quality of Social Public Communication”, funded by the Italian Ministry of Economic Development. He was a visiting research scholar at Purdue University, University of Cincinnati, University of South Carolina, and Virginia Commonwealth University (USA). His works appear in several books and international journals like Public Relations Review, Journal of Public Affairs, American Behavioral Scientist, Health Communication, Media and Communication. Lucia D’Ambrosi, Ph.D., is Assistant Professor of Sociology of Communication at the Department of Political Science, Communication and International Relations, University of Macerata (Italy), where she teaches Public Communication and open government. She is a member of the scientific committee of the Italian Association of Public Sector Communication. Her research focuses on the issues concerning public sector communication, with special focus in Europe, participatory processes and digital media. Her papers and articles on public and social communication have been published in several Italian and international specialized reviews and journals, as well as presented and discussed in numerous meetings. Bowen, Ph.D., is full Professor, University of South Carolina, USA, and focuses on ethics within organizations, specifically the application of Kantian deontological ethics in communication and government. She is a board member of the International Public Relations Research Conference (IPRRC), the Arthur W. Page Society, and a columnist for PRWeek. Professionally, she worked on Capitol Hill and as an analyst at a research firm. Ethics is featured in her 100+ publications, and she has been honored with numerous awards.
