Alicia Kozameh: Los saltos del exilio


Abstract


In her autofiction 259 saltos, uno inmortal (2001), Alicia Kozameh (Argentina, 1958) elaborates the existential fragmentations and contradictions of forced exile by means of a kaleidoscopic structure of narrative “leaps” between different spaces, times, and personal experiences and feelings. Also, between different forms of discourse: narrative, reflexive, confessional, metatextual. The “immortal leap” (fragment 259) establishes creative writing as the way of overcoming the wounds of exile.
