Focus and Scope
Perspectives on rural development series welcomes contributions mainly oriented towards the study of the processes generated by rural development policies and their territorial impacts.
The quality of the development objectives, the identity transformations and the organization of the production chains are observed in interdisciplinary way.
The different theoretical perspectives and the variety of methodological approaches, ensured, among other things, by a wide-ranging scientific Committee, favor the interpretation and sharing of rural development prospects emerging from different territorial contexts, highlighting differences, similarities and good practices.
The series is proposed as a place for comparison between scholars specialized in different disciplines dealing with rural development and it is a instrument for investigators, technicians and policy makers.
The series is published by SIBA-ESE of the University of Salento.
La Collana Perspectives on rural development accoglie contributi prevalentemente orientati verso lo studio dei processi generati dalle politiche di sviluppo rurale e del loro impatto territoriale.
La qualità degli obiettivi di sviluppo, le trasformazioni identitarie e l’organizzazione delle filiere produttive sono osservate in chiave interdisciplinare.
Le differenti prospettive teoriche e la varietà degli approcci metodologici, assicurati tra l’altro da un Comitato scientifico di ampio respiro internazionale, favoriscono l’interpretazione e la condivisione delle prospettive di sviluppo rurale emergenti da diversi contesti territoriali, ponendo in evidenza differenze, similitudini e buone pratiche.
La collana si propone come luogo di confronto tra studiosi che nelle varie discipline si occupano di sviluppo rurale e rappresenta uno strumento di approfondimento per ricercatori, tecnici e policy maker.
La collana è pubblicata da SIBA-ESE dell’Università del Salento.

The volumes of the Series «Perspectives on rural development» are published after the approval of the editorial board (or of a specifically delegated scientific committee) and based on the assessments expressed by at least two anonymous reviewers.
Open Access Policy
This publication provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.
