In questo lavoro vengono presentati i risultati di un’indagine compiuta sui plichi riferiti ad Amaranthus L., conservati negli erbari pugliesi di Bari (BI) e Lecce (LEC). La revisione degli exsiccata ha messo in evidenza una certa confusione nel discriminare le varie specie del genere. Si propone una chiave analitica per la determinazione delle 9 specie di Amaranthus finora segnalate per la Puglia.

The results of a research on herbarium specimens of Amaranthus L., that are preserved in the Herbaria of Bari (BI) and Lecce (LEC) (Puglia, southern Italy), are presented. The revision of the specimens highlighted some confusion in distiguishing among the species. An analytic key of the 9 species occurring in Puglia is proposed.
