Living Archives. Case-study del fondo fotografico di Annabella Rossi
Abstract
Archives are living corpuses that safeguard the cultural heritage of communities for the future generations, contributing to a better understanding of the world, global equality and social justice; they become democratizing, inclusive, polyphonic spaces that permit a dialogue between the past, the present and the future. The case-study of Annabella Rossi's archive photo collection, with reference to ceramic art in Salento, confirms the importance of making archives living, open and usable as universes of meaning, 'labyrinths', physical, social and scientific research places, unexpected journeys where history is reconstructed, becomes a new narrative and therefore a future by creating critical processes.
