Abstract
The book as a commodity. In the last decades we are witnessing in the publishing world a deep transformation greatly caused by the concentration of pusblishing houses. The personalized editor has been replaced by the mass marketing of the book loosing its true purpose; the distribution of intellectual values and sense of merchandise of honour.
