Il prossimo numero di «H-ermes, Journal of Communication» sarà dedicato alla parola-chiave “Media-History”. Il numero sarà organizzato attorno all’idea che lo studio dei media non riguardi solo la modernità e la contemporaneità, ma che sia possibile esaminare la comunicazione e i suoi mezzi e ambienti fin dai primordi dell’umanità. La prospettiva da cui si chiede di partire è perciò quella storica, cercando di affrontare contesti storici anche molto remoti, con un arco temporale molto ampio, compreso tra le prime civiltà e la Rivoluzione Francese, evento-mondo a partire dal quale lo studio dei media incrocia la modernità. Referees Ogni saggio sarà valutato da almeno due referees anonimi. I referees potranno essere membri del Comitato Scientifico, del Comitato di Redazione, della Redazione, o studiosi esterni. Submission Invio di un abstract alla redazione (max 2.000 battute) entro il 30 settembre 2021 e consegna dei saggi entro il 1° novembre 2021. The issue will be organized around the idea that the study of the media does not only concern modernity and contemporaneity, but that it is possible to examine communication and its means and environments from the very beginning of humanity. The perspective from which authors are asked to start is therefore the historical one, trying to tackle even very remote historical contexts, with a very long period of time, between the first civilizations and the French Revolution, the first world-event from which the study of the media crosses modernity.
Referees Each essay will be evaluated by at least two anonymous referees. The referees may be members of the Scientific Committee, of the Editorial Board, of the Editorial Staff, or external scholars. Submission Sending an abstract to the editorial staff (max 2,000 characters) by 15th of September 2021 and delivery of the essays by 1st of November 2021.
