Insediati nel secolo XV in Galatina, emergono a notevole ricchezza grazie all'esercizio delle professioni, e in particolare del notariato. Un ramo, trasferito da Galatina a Soleto, diviene invece fonte di illustri ecclesiasti e studiosi del rito greco.

The Arcudi are an Italian Greek family coming from Corfù. Settled in the 15 th century in Galatina, they emerge at considerable wealth thanks to the exercise of professions, expecially the notary profession. A branch of the family, transferred from Galatina to Soleto, instead becomes source of illustrious ecclesiastics and experts of Greek rite.
