Seguendo la cetra di Achille: dall'Iliade ai Poemi conviviali di Giovanni Pascoli
Abstract
'Achilles playing the lyre' is a notable mythical scene in antiquity, both in iconography and in literature, from Iliad IX 18691 onwards. This paper first lists Greek, Roman, and humanistic (Poliziano's) occurrences of the theme, then discusses the reception of Iliadic model in Giovanni Pascoli's Poemi conviviali.
