Abstract

The documents held in the Fondo UTET in the Turin Archivio di Stato provide important evidence of the work of the Turin Tommaseo-Bellini editorial team. In fact, the numerous letters and work materials sent by the various compilers, and by Tommaseo himself, to the publisher Pomba and to Pierviviano Zecchini help better understanding the initial stages of the Vocabolario and knowing the names of those who took part in that undertaking, the working method adopted and the rules to be implemented for the compilation.
