Tommaseo à l'ouvrage. La collaborazione alla Quinta Impression del Vocabolario della Crusca

Abstract

Important documents in the Florentine Archives of the National Library in Florence introduce us to the heart of Tommaseo's lexicographic work. Those concerning the collaboration with the Crusca, to the letter C (contained in the third volume, wich was published in 1878), are particulary interesting because they allow us to appreciate the guidelines of Tommaseo's Lexicographical work. It is no accident that Tommaseo, before returning the corrected drafts to the Academicians, made a copy of them to keep in his archive.
