Abstract
What is the meaning of “liberalism” at the start of the XXI century in the United States of America? How is it different from that of its European counterpart? How did that happen? The article provides an analysis on how the term meaning changed in the American political language through the XX century and aims at explaining how this change affected the conservative movement
