Il P.Herc. 986: un testo etico di Filodemo?

Abstract

The authors, who are preparing the first complete edition of P.Herc. 986, offer a rereading of fr. 24 Orazi, which was previously published only in part by Crönert. In this fragment, they have recognized a reference to, or a quotation of, Epicurus' thought about comic poetry, with a possible allusion to Menander. This detail, when taken with other considerations, opens stimulating new possibilities for its the interpretation of the text.
