Nouvelles recherches sur les papyrus du "lot Melaerts"

Abstract

In 1986, with the support of the Vrije Universiteit Brussel, the Musées royaux d'Art et d'Histoire of Brussels bought from M. Fackelmann 70 Ptolemaic papyri, coming from dismantled cartonnages. They are now known as "lot Melaerts". These documents, still mostly unpublished, were first studied by the late Henri Melaerts (1957-2017) and are currently the subject of my PhD dissertation. I will present here some documents alluding to the military in Ptolemaic Egypt.
